What Kind of Block President Does TPP Need?
Must not be actively associated with a traditional political party.
Must be educated, thoughtful, and visionary.
Must be honest, responsible, and have a clean public image.
Must understand the block’s villages, towns, wards, residents, and local issues.
Must be capable of bringing residents, workers, youth, and women together.
Must be fully committed to TPP and Punjab.
If you know a qualified person in your block, submit their name to TPP.
Block President Eligibility
- Must be a citizen of India and a resident of Punjab.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must live in the relevant block or have a strong social and grassroots connection with it.
- Must possess good character, integrity, and a clean public image.
- Must remain free from serious criminal activity, corruption, drugs, bribery, and intimidation.
- Must not promote hatred based on religion, caste, community, gender, or region.
- Must possess strong communication, meeting-management, and organizational abilities.
- Should have experience in social service, public-interest work, or community organization.
- Must be willing to visit villages, towns, and wards within the block regularly.
- Must maintain transparency with the party regarding income, business interests, assets, and potential conflicts of interest.
- Must accept TPP’s constitution, discipline, principles, and Punjab-focused policies.
- Must place public service and party development above personal gain.
- Must cooperate fully with the party’s verification, interview, and selection process.
Important: Block President is an internal organizational position within TPP and is not a government or constitutional office. Submitting a person’s name does not guarantee appointment. Final selection will be made according to TPP’s constitution, verification process, feedback from local members, and the decision of the party’s authorized selection committee.
Key Responsibilities of the Block President
- Build and strengthen TPP’s organization throughout the block.
- Establish party teams in every village, town, and ward.
- Assist in selecting village and ward presidents and building their teams.
- Recruit honest and capable workers committed to public service.
- Listen to residents’ concerns and communicate them to the District President and party leadership.
- Ensure meaningful participation of youth and women.
- Organize meetings, membership drives, and public-engagement programs.
- Maintain regular contact with all party units operating within the block.
- Ensure compliance with TPP’s constitution, discipline, and policies.
- Ensure transparent use of party funds and resources.
- Submit a monthly activity and performance report to the District President.
- Act as a bridge between residents, party workers, and district leadership.
- Avoid discrimination based on caste, religion, gender, financial position, or personal relationships.
- Never use the position for personal, family, political, or business benefit.
Written Pledge of a TPP Block President
