1595 — Guru Ki Wadali
Early Life
Born at Guru Ki Wadali in 1595, Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji was raised in an environment of learning, devotion and service that shaped a lifetime of moral leadership.
1606 — Miri-Piri
Spiritual Wisdom with Responsible Authority
On assuming the Guruship in 1606, Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji gave expression to Miri-Piri: spiritual wisdom and responsible public authority carried together, so that moral values guide the exercise of worldly responsibility.
1609 — Sri Akal Takht Sahib
Justice and Public Deliberation
Sri Akal Takht Sahib, established in 1609, represents justice, collective responsibility and open public deliberation—an enduring reminder that decisions affecting a community should be taken transparently and answerably.
1612 — Bandi Chhor
Freedom with Compassion
The Bandi Chhor tradition, associated with the year 1612 and the release of 52 rulers held at Gwalior Fort, teaches that freedom sought for oneself must also be sought for others, with compassion and without discrimination.
